CATS PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION

KEN BRADFORD NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY

Cats have an impressive individuality. Over the past four years, my wife and I have learned a lot about cat behavior. It all started when a colony of some 10 feral cats took up residence on our back deck. Once we started feeding these cats, it was all over. The first thing we had to learn about cats was why they are feral in the first place. Our research lead straight to us humans. Some people seem to adopt cats at their convenience. Once circumstances within the household change, there seems to be no problem in simply throwing their cats away. This is what starts the chain of feral cats.

Stray cats have been abandoned and are homeless. They still retain and may even need human interactions.

Feral cats are literally wild. They are born in the streets or born in the wild totally disassociated from humans. Taking care of feral kittens can become a major ordeal due to exposure to the elements. We have bathed eyes and put drops in them, cleaned ears, and administered antibiotics to cure respiratory infections. Over the past four years, we have managed to have 37 feral cats spayed or neutered and we have been fortunate enough to have found loving homes for 40 feral kittens.

Each photograph in this Cats Collection is available as an art print, framed print, canvas print or metal print to add a touch of class to your home or office.
